The frame may not feel as solid when you lift it up but it looks like polished cherry wood and fits the picture nicely.

The frame is flawless walnut and looks very nice. It is constructed well and has a sturdy prop that fold out the back. But the price is slightly high, you can get the same frame I have found out at certain retail stores for half the price.
