I own a number of Nu-Dell metal frames which I like for their smart, minimalist look so when I came across the Rich and Framous models which looked very similar online but were less expensive I decided to give them a try. What a great switch!
The frames are basically identical - both are made of sturdy metal that is substantial but lightweight. I think it's aluminum. The finish is a sophisticated black matte color that is perfect in my modern home.
The Rich and Framous frame arrived with all parts assembled so i just had to insert my artwork, which was surprisingly easy. I simply unscrewed the corner brackets, slid one of the frame sides away and was then able to place my artwork into the metal channel that holds it (between the plexiglass front and cardboard backing). Please be aware that this removable bracket construction is 'premium' as compared to other 'economy' metal frames are made with thinner metal and permanently crimped corners that are much poorer quality and not nearly as sturdy if that is a concern for you.
The frame was easy to hang with an adjustable metal loop hanger and is now gracing my front hall. It really looks fantastic and a nice upgrade from the basic black wooden frames I've owned in the past. So if you're looking for a quality, reusable frame I highly recommend the metal Rich and Framous ones.

Based on the reviews I thought this would be higher quality. However I found it difficult to get the picture in the frame, and the frame to scratch easily. Disappointing. Found cheaper and better quality ones at BB;B. But such a hassle to return these disappointing frames.
